Social Service Reternship Programme
The Social Service Reternship Programme provides senior professionals with a structured, supportive pathway to transition into the social service sector. "Reternship" reflects the unique nature of this Programme, where senior professionals return to work with a wealth of experience while embracing new learning opportunities to adapt to the social service sector.

This unique Reternship opportunity strengthens the workforce of social service agencies (SSA), and helps ease the transition of senior professionals into the sector. With this Programme, SSAs and participants can benefit from an inclusive, mission-driven approach that helps build a more capable and diverse workforce.

3-Day Social Sector
Appreciation Course
Understanding the social sector landscape, essential roles, skills & mindsets to succeed
Immersion Day
Site visit to participating charities, hear from sector leaders on opportunities, challenges & motivations
2-3 Month Reternship Experience
Engaged for the
Longer-term 
 
Hands-on experience supporting charities in various functions/projects
Note: An interview will be conducted by charities prior to the Project Experience. Do note that placement is not guaranteed.
Charities & participants work out longer-term relationship, if there is a culture & role fit.

Immersion Day:
Visit to Lions Befrienders, Kampung Senang, St. Andrew's Autism Centre
15th September 2025 (full day)
Volunteering Experience:
Brighton Connection - Digital Literacy with Less-privileged Elderly @ MacPherson
18th September 2025 (afternoon)
2-3 Month Reternship Project Experience:
Ongoing (from Oct 2025 onwards)
Conversions/Longer-term Engagement:
Whenever Reternship Project is completed

Format:
Curriculum has a good mix of content, group activities & case studies, panel sharing by sector leaders, discussions, debrief & reflections.

Programme Fees & Stipend
There is a $250 commitment fee for the 3-day appreciation course & immersion day. 
If you land a 2-month project in the Reternship Experience, a stipend of $1,500/month will be provided to you by the charity.
The programme fee is a bundled commitment to the full Reternship journey and not pro-rated based on attendance. This helps us keep the programme accessible while honouring the collective investment from all participants.
